With more than five years of Flash experience, I am currently using Flash MX 2004.
Animations for Web site designs
Designed and built Flash animations to incorporate into freelance Web site design projects.
Flash Production
Completed a Flash and art production contract with Apex Learning in 2004 and 2005. Created Flash slideshows, interactive maps, interactive diagrams and processed audio files and images for use in online courses. Templates were often provided but a certain amount of skill with ActionScript was required to modify and add featuress.
- Vertical Integration Chart
Designed this slideshow chart based on the curriculum developer's instructions. The title bar and the navigation bar are part of the standard template.
- New Zealand Slideshow
This shows the standard slideshow template. Images were sometimes specified by the curriculum developer but often I needed to search for appropriate photos.
- Roman Empire Map
Modified in Illustrator, the background map was imported into Flash. Labels, text, legend, highlighting and motion and shape tweens were then added based on the instructions given by the curriculum developer.
- Germany Map
Another map example, this shows the intricate borders that often needed to be drawn.
- Graciela and Roberto
Foreign language slideshows were created using a set of specific stock characters that were then modified in Illustrator or using the drawing tools in Flash. Also designed the rest of the settings using stock images and original art. Added audio clips after splitting a longer WAV file using Audacity.

This is another Spanish language example with mostly custom-illustrated scenes.
- Ricitos de Oro
- Using Audacity and Flash, processed and incorporated audio files to language learning game templates (matching exercises, multiple choice quizzes, flash cards, etc.)
